P.Eng.

A successful and progressive engineering firm with offices in Calgary and Edmonton is looking for a Geological Engineering or Civil Engineering P.Eng. within our Calgary office.  The role is to provide engineering for various geotechnical projects in various capacities and to be part of our team. Within this position you will have the opportunity to work on both small and large scale, technically challenging projects in Alberta and across Western Canada as well as;

•             prepare geotechnical investigation reports

•             proposal preparation and cost estimation

•             modeling, drafting including slope stability, borehole and pile design software

•             conducting site inspections, bearing inspections, drilling or boreholes and test pitting

•             conduct materials testing such as concrete testing and compaction of soils

•             Project management

•            Business development

•            Various other duties

Your Qualifications:

•             Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical or Geological Engineering from a recognized university.  A post graduate degree in engineering would be an asset.

•           5-8 years experience

•             Sound engineering judgement and technical knowledge of geotechnical engineering practices including deep and shallow foundation methodologies

•             Ability to work in the field, laboratory or office  

•             Excellent communication and written skills

•             Demonstrated leadership and motivation

Within this position you will have the opportunity to work on both small and large scale, technically challenging projects in Alberta and across Western Canada as well as;

•             prepare geotechnical investigation reports

•             proposal preparation and cost estimation

•             modeling, drafting including slope stability, borehole and pile design software

•             conducting site inspections, bearing inspections, drilling or boreholes and test pitting

•             various other duties

Your Qualifications:

•             Minimum of 2 summer or CO-OP employments with consulting firms or contractors within Alberta or Western Canada

•             Sound engineering judgement and technical knowledge of geotechnical engineering practices including deep and shallow foundation methodologies

•             Ability to work in the field, laboratory or office  

•             Proven effective oral and written communication skills

•             Demonstrated leadership and motivation
